SPILL 2009 - On Agency
SPILL Festival 2009 - On Agency was a very large festival made up of 180 events, taking place across London over a packed 21 day period. In partnership with the Barbican SPILL presented Romeo Castellucci’s scale busting Divine Trilogy (Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso). We presented Jan Fabre and his company Troublyn in the Queen Elizabeth Hall, with Orgy of Tolerance marking their return to England for the first time in two decades. We launched the SPILL National Platform as a major new initiative to support early makers and launched the SPILL Tarot deck. SPILL Commissions included the brilliant Aftermaths: A Tear in the Meat of Vision by Julia Bardsley. Victoria and Tim Etchells presented That Night Follows Day performed by kids, and Gob Squad gave their best shot to Saving The World. The programme also included a series of confronting public conversations facilitated by our SPILL Thinker in Residence (Kira O'Reilly), SPILL Onscreen programme, SPILL Think Tank programme, SPILL Writing, SPILL Feasts, SPILL TV & Photography.
