Visual artist and filmmaker Laura Jean Healey opens this season of Think Tank Live with a series of her most visually powerful artist moving image works, including ‘The (Un)Holy Trinity’ and ‘The Siren’.
Laura’s film installations regularly examine the role and representation of women in art and cinema. She produced ‘The Siren’, which was the very first holographic installation to be filmed entirely underwater in slow motion and was awarded the Passion for Freedom Gold Film Award for its ‘artistic value and powerful visual message embodying the freedom of women’.
Following the screenings, Laura will lead a conversation about the making and meaning of her work.
Think Tank Live events start with a performance or presentation from our featured artist, followed by a Q&A session hosted by our Artistic Director, Robin Deacon. Stick around afterwards for drinks and chat.
