Since 2019, artists Andy Field and Beckie Darlington have travelled across the world making TV news shows with groups of local primary school children.

Called News News News, their project places children in charge of the news, enabling them to make the big decisions about what stories the news should cover and then head out into the world to investigate, in the process interviewing politicians, scientists, lawyers and ordinary people on the street.

In this talk, Andy and Beckie will break down how these stories are made, some of the unexpected things that have happened in the process and why they think it is important to let children take over the airwaves.

Think Tank Live events start with a performance or presentation from our featured artist, followed by a Q&A session hosted by our Artistic Director, Robin Deacon. Stick around afterwards for drinks and chat.
