HAVING ALMOST COMPLETED A FULL CIRCLE, OTHON’S BRAND NEW WORK KODAMA GOES BACK TO HIS ROOTS AND HIS PRIMAL LOVE, THE PIANO

Othon’s perspective, however, is completely transformed; having gone through a series of transcendental shamanic experiences in the Brazilian jungle and having gained technical experience working with electronic and dance music for the last couple of years as a DJ and producer, his relationship with the piano is reinvented & his passion re-ignited. Using loops that build up in intensity, harmonic richness and mystical high-frequency overtones, he aims to create windows of emotional abundance, sometimes reinforced by electronic grooves & other acoustic instruments.

Othon thinks of himself as a vehicle for the unstoppable creative force of a conscious Universe. A continuously evolving songwriter, composer, producer & promoter of Papa Loko, as well as a multi-awarded pianist & an upcoming DJ, Othon has been continuously evolving his sound from his deeply experimental, austere debut Digital Angel to his richly textured critically-acclaimed Pineal. He has worked with an incredible array of artists & musicians including Marc Almond, Ron Athey, Franko B, Peter Christopherson, Current 93 & Ernesto Tomasini.

The McCarricks are a duo of cello & violin that create haunting live soundtracks for films. They have worked with Marc Almond, Kristin Hersh, Sinead O’Connor, Gary Numan, Marianne Faithful and others. Martin McCarrick was a member of Siouxsie and the Banshees and played with Dead Can Dance and This Mortal Coil.
