RADAGE IS CLAIMING THEIR BODY’S ABILITY TO HOST AND BIRTH WHILST FIGHTING AGAINST THE ACTUALITY. THEY WANT TO SEE IT HAPPEN ON THEIR OWN TERMS, IN CONTROL OF WHAT ENTERS AND EXISTS THEIR BODY WHILST WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT SUCH CYCLES ARE PREDETERMINED.
The work begins within an installation, with scored actions and moves, through to a direct response to the moment, the materials and the presence in the space. Radage uses the precise measurings of the installation as material for alteration.
Working with a metal spike, 9 lengths of yarn and 9 mirrors the body sets about oscillating between the act of claiming as both assertive and aggressive.
