Drop in the Ocean is a three‑day walking performance in concentric circles; the ripples around a drop.

Carrying water with a milkmaid’s yoke, Jess invites you to make a wish, moving a stone from the water in one bucket to the other. In between, Jess asks you four questions about your memories and sense of water.

Irreverent, quixotic, contemplative, profound: Drop is a simple acknowledgement of
water as a deep point of connection to people, place and planet.

Jess Allen is an eco‑activist performance artist from Aberystwyth. Her work is characterised by conviviality, camaraderie, connection. Typically she combines long‑distance walking art with one‑to‑one performance. But she also uses movement,
sound, film, installation, food and crafts. She is also an aerial performer and teacher.
