As a child in the 1960’s and 70’s Steve had an abiding fascination with model making – planes, tanks and toy soldiers.

As Steve entered his teens his shyness and inability to communicate led to a more focused attention on his model building, with days spent in his bedroom focused on the small worlds and characters he put together with glue and paint.

His world became very small…

With ASSEMBLY, Steve envisages creating a model workshop where the audience each makes their own plastic model; he will take a small group of people on a journey – a journey into the small – a place where we have ultimate control – a place where we are Gods of creation and destruction.

Senior producer at Tramway, Glasgow for 14 years, Steve started his own company as a Freelance Producer in 2009, – TACTICAL A.U.

Steve recently ‘re-emerged’ as an artist – presenting a lecture demonstration at Tate Britain in October 2012 and a new work “Between Atoms and The Stars” at Arches Live in September 2013. This was followed by two versions of “BLACK HOLE ()” at Buzzcut Glasgow and Month of Performance Art – Berlin in 2014.
